I feel like I always read the comments under the first episode, so I watch it and then I get slapped in the face with the garbage attempts at comedic relief. It's not funny, it breaks immersion and most of the time signals that there will be trash writing.
I could excuse the reunion with the Master, but the last 3 minutes of the episodes were straight up toxic to watch.

I'll give this a few episodes, maybe the story and character writing (when they are not being purposefully retarded) will be good enough to suffer through forced 'comedy'.

this shxt have a manhua ... the trash cliche shxt at the begining wasn't there, abusive master wasn't there at the contrary he treated him well ... there wasn't much comedic relief, and yeah it wasn't that good in the manhua too but at least it wasn't forced .... this donghua is a no for me, the adaptation is really trash ... i don't know about the novel but this shxt is completly different (in a bad way) from the manhua

great visuals. shitty cliche first 10 mins. the gods leap into action to undo it though. shitty comedy. a practical mc very considerate. a gorgeous little girl. beautiful artwork and animation. 10/10 in looks. 20 minutes long. that cliche and abusive master though . . and bad comedy. wont give it an overall rating yet but i have high hopes for it.

I love watching this anime. Their animation is quite good and narrative is awesome

the art in this one looks a bit interesting and its carefully animated but the actual episode was half garbage.. they should stop trying to be funny.. idk who is that sort of humor appeals too but yeah its pretty bad.. idk i have some hopes for it but its only the first episode

Yea its bout time they start coming out with more high quality donghua's now in 2023. I hope we start seeing more of these donghua's moving forward, one can be optimistic bout these things hopefully we'll get to see better improvements in donghua's in 2023 in onwards. This was a good watch.

I dont like when someone just randomly beat MC for some unnecessary reason. Almost all comedy genre japanese anime are like this. Thats one of the reasons why i switched to chinese wuxia type donhuwa. All tho i hate that type of comedy i can enjoy this one for now.

Yes I do think BTTH is better than this..like I said it's animation is great and all but def wasn't feeling the first episode at all....but glad you enjoyed it

Have u watched all BTTH seasons? Did you notice they changed characters looks. Did you see what they did to Xun er? also i do feel something different about animation quality in latest season compared to old seasons.

Fight scene in 3 years agreement was awesome...I do see some different in previous season but animation is a little better if u compare it to season 1 and 2
